Two Weeks in Review
It's been two weeks since our last post and we have been busy little beavers over here. I have a lot to get through so I'm just going to bullet point things in no particular order. It should be a blast!
~ First up, Tom Newman and Brittany Ballerini are getting married on Oct. 27th and I'll be in town for their wedding. If you want to see me, your best bet is going to be Monday. I'm only in town from Friday evening to Tuesday afternoon, and there's a wedding in there, but if any people want to try and meet up let me know (and maybe email me a phone number). I'm going to try to not sleep the entire time I'm out to maximize efficiency... we'll see how that goes.
~While I'm in Chicago for a wedding Megan will be in Vienna, Austria on bussiness. Unlike her Amsterdam and Japan trips, she has a weekend to enjoy the city. I'm going to make her take lots of pictures and teach me about it in a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. PowerPoint is just the same, if not better than actually being there I hear.
~Also, Tom Gelsthorpe is getting married to Erin Lipitz (I hope I spelled the last name right Erin). They are aiming to tie the knot in march of '08. I'm excited to see my good friends marrying such quality people. It kinda gets me right here ya know?
~AND, Hafsa Mahmood (Huffy) and Baldy are getting married in June. I'd like to think maybe our getting married was inspiration. The most likely theory I have is that we're all just growing up. Make sure to water your Up twice a day!
~Megan and I were assaulted by five twelve year old girls on our walk home. One took offense to me for some reason as we walked by and tried to trip me. I just walked on by and thought that was it... until one of them hurled their drink at me, hitting me in the arm. What is an appropriate action when being harassed by twelve year old girls? Anyone?
~Megan and I went to go see Run, Fatboy Run today. It was a slightly better than average run-of-the-mill comedy, but the trip was notable for another reason. We arrived early to get decent seats (English people do not arrive for movies early, which irks me) and started munching our nachos during the previews. Finishing the nachos we set the cheesy plastic try on the ground and moved on to the popcorn. A couple arriving at the tail end of the previews were astonished that there were no seats for them. Megan and I had an open seat on both sides of us and we kindly moved over to let them sit together (how nice of us, right?). All was well and good until after the movie when the woman sitting in Megan's old seat reached down to pick up her jacket after the movie, only to find it freshly flavored. Awkward.
I know there are other tidbits to share, but I'm trying to keep my blogs to a more reasonable length. Hopefully we'll post a bit more often this week.

Mate, I am so sorry. 12-year-old street punks. That sounds like England to me. That has happened to me so many times.
One time it got a bit edgy and someone shouted "he's reaching (for a knife)" so we all legged it.
I hate that bullshit.
uh, actually eric and i got married before you and megan, so i believe WE started this whole chain of marriages.
YOUR WELCOME.
can't wait to see you, man! I will mark that Monday in my calendar.
The best plan of attack against a twelve-year-old girl is passive aggressive. Just make a backhanded comment about her weight.
I will share more wisdom when I see you.
