The Millenials?
60 Minutes did a piece on our generation, the Millenials or Gen Y.

The piece is talking about the upcoming generation entering the workforce. The thesis is that young people have no work ethic. Original, CBS, real original. I'm not convinced that it is an accurate portrayal of our generation, and some of the points are pretty annoying.
Some of the points are pretty interesting, though. There's an interview with two men our age who make a living telling young people how to find jobs that fit them, and then fit into the job. A few of their points struck me. What do you guys think?

I gave up on CBS in the 1970's. They just won't die. As to the work-ethics of Gen Y, seems about the same as the Boomers. Some work to work. Some work to play and some play until they have to work. Then there are the beats, dopers, hippies, stoners and others generally just being there. Plus l'mem.
I think Ken the Dad is correct.
Remember, all this lazy Millenial crap is coming from the same folks who called us Gen Xers lazy. The same folks who worked 80 hour days to "keep up with the Joneses" and amass tons of toys, a couple divorces and several estranged kids. Then they were downsized. Why should their children and grandchildren think slaving away at the office is going to pay off? Think maybe Boomers are a little too focused on careers as the path to fulfillment?
