The Cliffs of Dover (I Believe I Can Fly)

Megan is in the US and I'm still here in the UK and I have to say, I miss that lady. You Chicagoans better take good care of her!

On the plus side, Tom and Erin are here keeping me company. We took a day trip to the cliffs of Dover and had one of the best hikes of my life. We walked at about 5 miles out to an old lighthouse on the coast, dropped off trash, and trekked back. And, while the turnaround point was nothing special, the journey was amazing. Standing on the edge (or a few feet away) of a 300 foot cliff, staring at the other beautiful cliffs just made me remember what a huge and powerful world we live in. On the other side of us were billowing fields of grass, and as we picked our way through the foot-beaten paths, seeing maybe twenty people the entire day, I felt like I was in a place that was not packaged for easy enjoyment. Gone was the 'on rails' feeling I get like a place like Stonehenge. Instead we just got a big, open-ended, glorious hike.

Enough blabber... PICS PLS!

You guys look like you're having so much fun! I hope you have guitars over there for a pseudo-European tour of Closed till Monday.

Sucks Megan's away. Marty, in my absence, I give you temporary access to "everything." Tom will know what that means and should respond with a shaking head and guttural sigh. Now we can finally put that joke on moratorium.

Remember Marty, it's on you to restore Europe's reputation for Tom and Erin. Godspeed!
