Request for our guests
Marty and I had a brilliant brainstorming session tonight, and we came up with a great idea for a keepsake for the Big Day.
This idea is inspired by Marty's sister, Hillary, who got married last year. I really enjoyed a slide presentation that she had at her reception, in which she and her husband, Eric, showed pictures of themselves at different stages of their lives--childhood, high school, and then as their relationship progressed. It was very sweet!
We thought we could have pictures already placed in photo albums, and in the pocket next to them having a notecard with a short description next to it.
The problem is we don't take many pictures of ourselves. Especially not before we had camera phones.
Our parents can provide baby pictures, but we are hoping that our friends have some pictures of us lying around. (For example, Angela, I know you have some pictures of us at Winter Formal. Colin, I think you do too. At least the one posted on your blog a while back.)
We'd even like pictures of us in groups too.
If you do, we would love it if you brought them to the wedding, wrote a short description on provided note cards, and then put it in the album. How special would that be?
If you have digital photos and don't think you'll have time to print them out, email them to me please, please! I'll print them out at Kinko's or Walgreens for you.
Remember, we want these photos to be G-rated, so that means no swearing, tobacco, alcohol or firearms. Tasteful nudity is ok.
In other news, we got our marriage license today! Marty was able to take some time off of his busy work day to walk down to the court house. As soon as we walked out of the marriage license department, a homeless entrepreneur took our Polaroid and gave it to us in one of those cards you get at some touristy location like Great America or
Then we celebrated over an Arby's lunch. Here's us toasting over delicious curly fries.

Hi Megan it's Huffy!! Yay I'm so pumped, I can't imagine how pumped you and your - hubby to be - are :) Hopefully I'm doing this right. Baldy and myself should be at the wedding in Plainfield. He flies into Chicago around 4, then he goes home, will get ready and we'll head over together. We'll get there asap - although 6 may be tough, i think it'll be more like 7. I apologize if we'll be slightly late, but we'll be there!!! Love ya, girl!
So is this thing going to require formal attire? Because I need at least three days notice to get the blood stains out of my Batman costume.
