Wedding Update, Change of Plans
Well, Marty's mother has graciously offered to host our wedding at the Smith family household in Plainfield, which is a southwest suburb about 30 minutes from the city (with no traffic). We happily accepted, as it offers us an outdoor setting with plenty of room for our guests. With this decision we can welcome more people to bring their "plus ones" and allocate more of our budget on the things that matter, like food, rather than the venue.
The weather is predicted to be nice on Friday, but if it rains we have the option of celebrating indoors.
We're still searching for a minister or someone who can legally marry us in Plainfield that day, so if anyone has any contacts, please send them along. If we can find someone who can do that, we'll ditch the courthouse all together.
This change of plans may prove to be less convenient for our Chicago guests, especially those who don't have cars, but I hope you can all still make it. Please let me know if you can not attend anymore. In fact, if anyone has any questions please just email one of us and we'll do our best to get back to you promptly.
We are not posting the address on the internet for obvious reasons, so please email us if you need directions.
The newlyweds (That's us!) plan to head back to the city at night and will likely celebrate with Chicagoans (and anyone else who wants to join us) after the suburban get-together.

I have a '96 Ford Taurus that barely runs, so I can take about seventeen (five) people once I get there. Reserve your seat now.

Sounds good to us. Actually works better to have it in the burbs as it's closer to my parents, the babysitters!
