Politics Shmolitics

Because we were not organised enough to get absentee ballots, I don't get to vote today. I always vote on Election Day and am sincerly missing it today. Mostly I'm sad that I'm out of the loop for the process leading up to the first Tuesday in November, but I really did get a thrill in waiting in line with my fellow Chicagoans to punch holes in a piece of cardboard.
Hopefully a few of them will vote twice in my honor.

This is the first election I haven't worked late on in four years. I sort of miss it.

voting rocks! I'll vote twice just for you.

Dude - no punching holes and chad mess this year. Now we connect the two halves of an arrow with a straight line. Mayor Daley dissed it and voted with one of the conspiracy-spawning electronic voting machines, but Maggie represented and opted for the paper ballot and arrows. That's about all you missed. That, and some man outside my precinct polling place saying I was a "good girl" for voting.

Holy crap, this was about as exciting as a midterm election can be. Makes me sad that I'm registered to vote in Uzbekistan.

1. Voter fraud is rarely funny.
2. I agree with Colin. Use the zed.
3. Caleb's registered to vote in Uzbekistan? How did that come about?
