Trouble With A Capital T

Before our move, my dad was a little worried that I would be gunned down by some Crazed Muslim Terrorist or caught up in a Suicide Bombing. I think because London Muslim unrest and racism gets a lot of attention in the press, or at least it did right before we left The States.

But here's a link to the article he sent me about a Muslim convert who decided to try to pick off residents of my hometown, Rockford, with hand grenades and a gun at the local mall. I lived in Rockford for about 2/3 of my life and worked in Cherry Vale mall.

In the same visit to the Trib Web site, I came across this article about a terrorist at the Oglvie train station, where I occasionally would catch the train to my suburban job in the boonies, or back to other suburbs throughout the other third of my life when I lived in Chicago.

We've been in London for about three months, and in that time the city has been hit by a Tornado. Funny, but I pictured tornados only ever happening in Midwest America.

So there you have it. It just goes to show. Show what? I'm not really sure. But something.
