Go Bears

I don't know any of the names of the players. Of either team. I don't know strategy, or even the rules of the game.
But it's the freaking Super Bowl, and my adoptive city is in it. So Mendy and Dave officially are joining us at the Hard Rock Cafe, and we're going to stay up until the wee hours cheering on Chicago.
Go Bears and Screw Work.

Update: At half time, it's 1:30 a.m. here. I can't stand it anymore: must sleep. But what a great game! Too bad I'll have to wait until the morning to see who wins. We did represent at Hard Rock though, with orange and blue Chicago and Illinois shirts. The main commentator is British, which is kind of wierd. Also, the commercials are UK ads. For some reason, I had kind of hoped that we would get to see the American ads even though it was on an English channel.

Marty's staying up to watch it at home on cable. Dedication, for ya.

Thanks for calling Jan!

I wish I would've gone to bed at half time. Then I wouldn't have so many painful memories

Didn't miss much in the way of the second half or commercials from what I saw. Prince was the highlight of the night.

However bad the British commentators were, I'm sure they were better than Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

Man, things were looking so good for the first 5 minutes or so...

We lost. It makes me sad. I don't really care about the team, the players, or the sport itself...but I'll be damned if I don't care about the city.
